Achievement Introduction:
The prediction and prediction of water inrush from coal seam roof and floor is a major scientific and technological challenge in the hydrogeological research of mines in China. After years of research, the National Coal Mine Water Prevention and Control Engineering Technology Research Center of China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) has proposed a new method for predicting and evaluating water inrush from coal seam roof - the three graph double prediction method, and a new method for predicting and evaluating water inrush from coal seam floor - the vulnerability index method.
In the "Three Figures Double Prediction Method", the "Three Figures" refer to the zoning map of the water rich aquifer in the coal seam roof, the zoning map of the safety of coal seam roof cracking, and the comprehensive evaluation zoning map of water inrush in the coal seam mining roof; "Dual prediction" refers to the prediction of water inflow in the working face under natural conditions and the prediction of water inflow in the working face under artificial modification conditions. The three figure dual prediction method comprehensively predicts and evaluates water inrush disasters in coal seam roof aquifers from three aspects: water source, water channel, and water intensity. It corresponds to a complete theoretical foundation and evaluation technology system, with advanced concepts and strong applicability, and solves the technical difficulties in predicting water inrush in coal seam roof. It has been written into the "Coal Mine Water Prevention and Control Regulations" (Article 68).
The vulnerability index method is a coal seam floor water inrush prediction and evaluation method that couples an information fusion method that can determine the weight coefficients of multiple main control factors for water inrush and a geographic information system (GIS) with powerful spatial information analysis and processing capabilities. The vulnerability index method can comprehensively analyze various control factors that affect water inrush from the coal seam floor, establish a systematic index system of main control factors, and consider the weight of each main control factor affecting water inrush from the floor. It truly depicts the nonlinear dynamic process of water inrush from the coal seam floor, which is controlled by multiple factors and has a very complex formation mechanism. It corresponds to a complete theoretical foundation and evaluation technical system, with advanced concepts and strong applicability, and solves the technical problem of predicting and predicting water inrush from the coal seam floor. It has been written into the "Coal Mine Water Prevention and Control Regulations" (Article 75).
The new method for predicting and evaluating water inrush from coal seam roof, namely the three graphs and two prediction method, and the new method for predicting and evaluating water inrush from coal seam floor, namely the vulnerability index method, can fully utilize the existing drilling, geophysical and geochemical exploration results of the mine to classify the risk/vulnerability of water inrush, provide technical support for formulating targeted water prevention and control measures, and is a scientific guarantee for achieving safe mining in coal mines.
Intellectual Property and Awards:
The new method for predicting and evaluating water inrush from coal seam roof, the "Three Figures Double Prediction Method", has independent intellectual property rights and has won one national patent, two second prizes of national scientific and technological progress awards, and two first prizes of provincial and ministerial level awards.
The new method for predicting and evaluating water inrush from coal seam floor, the "Vulnerability Index Method", has independent intellectual property rights, has obtained 2 national patents, 2 second prizes for national scientific and technological progress, and 4 first prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels.
Application prospects:
The problem of roof water damage is commonly present in most coal mining areas in China. The "Three Figures and Two Predictions" method has effectively solved the technical problem of predicting and predicting water inrush from coal seam roofs. It has been widely popularized and applied in major water mining areas with severe roof water damage nationwide, achieving significant economic, social, and environmental benefits.
Most coal mining in China generally faces the problem of floor water damage, especially as the depth of coal seam mining increases, the problem of floor water inrush becomes increasingly serious. The vulnerability index method is scientific, advanced, and highly applicable, effectively solving the technical difficulties in predicting and predicting water inrush from coal seam floor. It has been successfully applied to large water mines in Tangshan, Datong, Handan, and other places, and has been widely popularized and promoted in major water mining areas across the country, achieving significant economic, social, and environmental benefits.
